Double Wedding Ring

The gingham on the back gives it a dainty look. Grandma Pope made many Double Wedding Ring quilts -- all small. All the pieces were cut with scissors. Notice the scalloped edges. "I have 3 more like this. They are all made from scrap material. I used what we had".

The scalloped edges look so beautiful. Keeping them as crisp and even as that must take painstaking work.

I'm glad that using up scraps, like this quilt did, is coming back into popularity. I've seen classes for making rugs from scraps and such, and other crafts, coming to life at local places. Maybe we won't be too bad off during the next depression, after all.

Beautiful!
