Sunbonnet Quilt

This is a friendship quilt that Marie encouraged her Gleaner Girls in Mutual to make. When she looked at the back and saw that instead of binding she had turned the back over the front, Marie said, "Oh, surely, I didn't!!"

Log Cabin -- Stars

Log Cabin -- Velour

The soft velour material for this quilt was purchased at the Alcoe Store in Kemmerer. The material was on sale for $1 a yard. When I looked at the material, I liked the colors and selected what you see in the quilt. At the time I was choosing the material, another lady stood close by. She watched carefully. Finally she said to me, "What are you going to use all of that for?" I replied, "I don't know, but I'll find something." You are looking at the result of the "something" I decided to make.
